With still over a month before the official release of the next James Bond installment No Time To Die, we finally get the music video for Billie Eilish’s single and score of the same title.
The simple and emotive black and white visual perfectly evokes the iconic spy franchise’s film noir aesthetic of the past, as Billie appears radiant in front of a pitch-black backdrop with angelic glossy lighting. The original song was produced by her brother Finneas and Stephen Lipson with Hans Zimmer adding orchestral arrangements alongside Matt Dunkley, together with contributions by The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
At just 18 years old, Billie becomes the youngest singer-songwriter to officially record a 007 theme which will also be the last to star Daniel Craig. It’s also the 25th Bond film, counting from the first in the series 1962 Terence Young-directed Dr. No that stars Sean Connery.
